“No one cared who i was until i put on the sport coat” - Benjamin Shrader
For fIVE years, Benjamin Shrader, CEO of Shrader Promotions, has been leading the Shrader Nation (often referred to as "The Nation") in orchestrating some of the top events in College Station, Houston, Austin, and San Marcos. His unique leadership style and unorthodox organizational structure have led to some of the "The Nation’s" greatest successes, associating with incredible artists such as Lady Gaga, G-Eazy, Fetty Wap, and many more.
Described as charismatic and enigmatic, Benjamin had to overcome many struggles throughout his life. He has incredibly severe dyslexia, tested to be among the severest one percentile of all people with dyslexia and, to this day, only reading at a 6th-grade reading level. It's common at events for him to have one of his agents, as he would say, dedicated to just reading things: messages, schedules, etc. Benjamin has spoken extensively about dyslexia and his charity work with The International Dyslexia Association: being a keynote speaker at their International Dyslexia Conference. Mr. Shrader has often spoken on the difficulties of this: "To go from the heights of transcendent joy to not being able to read your own schedule keeps a man humble." He often says humility is one of his greatest qualities, although this is highly debated amongst the team.
But the General Secretary, as he is often called internally, has walked a long road and claimed many glorious triumphs before his time as our commander. For years he was the star figure of the website Commander Ben, working to save our native ecosystems from invasive species. For this environmental activism, he was acclaimed Citizen Scientist of the Year by the texas invasives database in collaboration with the lady bird johnson wildflower center, recognized by the US Botanical Gardens, and proclaimed an eco-hero by Action for Nature, one of the world's leading environmental activist nonprofits. When explaining the enigma that is Benjamin Shrader, an old friend of his put it best: "It is the medium in which you know Ben through. On social media, he can seem like a different kind of person. It's still him, but extra. But in person, he is one of the most respectful and kind people I know." When working for Benjamin, many of the Shrader Nation members say he is something between a family member and a field commander.
At the height of the business's success, Benjamin was diagnosed with a life-threatening golfball-sized brain tumor. After a twelve-hour procedure with a team of three doctors to remove the tumor, he had multiple metal plates implanted to put his skull back together and received 61 stitches on the back of his head. Additionally, Benjamin became permanently deaf in his right ear. Beyond the scars, however, he looks as he did before: incredibly attractive, he would say. To quote our glorious leader, Benjamin shrader: "During my time in the hospital, I realized what was really important: the money, the women, the fame."
